Science and Innovation Missions 2024 Program (CDTI Innovation)

Research in sustainable and efficient technologies applied to the alcoholic fermentation process to move towards a quality and safe wine industry.

SOSTWINE24 is an R&D project that aims to design and develop a comprehensive tool to monitor, in real time and in a non-invasive way, the process of alcoholic fermentation of musts for winemaking. In this way, it is expected to increase the quality and sustainability of the wines, since fermentation is the stage that entails a greater energy expenditure and inputs of the entire winemaking process.

Intranox coordinates this collaborative R&D project, in which Enkoa System, The White Team Consulting, Adegas Valminor and Bodega and Viñedos Pradorey also participate. With a budget of €1,950,908, SOSTWINE is funded by the CDTI Innovation, with Next Generation EU (specifically the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism) funds under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The initiative has a planned duration of 15 months and has the collaboration of the technological center of the Basque Country Tecnalia, promoter of technology.
